Book Notes: The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up

Knowing the book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up” by Marie Kondo (KonMari) for months, I finally took action to clean up my closet, starting from clothes. I dragged every piece of my clothes from all corners of my apartment and threw them into a pile on the floor. According to KonMari, what do you do next is to pick up every piece, try it or feel it, to see if it still sparks joy in your heart — if it does, it will find a place in your closet; if not, put it aside for donations or giveaway. If you ever have doubts, try it or feel it again, make a decision.

Using this method, I cleared out five bags of clothes and sent them to Goodwill. After putting all my clothes back into the closet, I feel there is a much more room. I’m planning to use this method to clean up my books and other household items as well. I look forward to a cleaner and more organized home.
