A good website should not only have attractive interfaces and great content, but also a nice domain name. Of course, I am not talking about domain names of such kind: OutBusinessLetYouDoWhatYouWanttoDo.com. This is too bad, especially when it’s too long and all in lowercase, very hard to tell what the domain names are. No time for guessing.
I noticed some websites that use domain names in smart ways and could not help introducing them to you:)
I haven’t used it before, but it’s so easy to know what website it is. Its interface is clean and organized, too. .ly is the Internet country code top-level domain for Libya, but this small group of people from United States took advantage of it. And it’s nice and cool to arrange the domain like this.
Same here. .ag is for Antigua and Barbuda, and this website uses it strategically. Smart and artistic. And it’s a web design magazine website, so I think I will go there often:)
Similar strategy, .me is originally for Montenegro and wisely used here. I first saw .me domain was several years ago from one of my friends’ blog, and was wondering what this domain was, as at that time, most of domain we used were .com, .net, .org, or .com.cn.
I like domain names above, short, powerful, and most importantly meaningful. A good domain name could be a huge plus for your website.
Excellent domain names can give us a big surprise! I remember one express company here called “ben niao” caught our eyes, which means “slow sparrow ” in the idiom “A slow sparrow should make an early start”
